Lightcraft Technology and Immersion announce dealer agreement
Full range of affordable optical and encoded tracking and on-set visualization systems now available to entertainment industry in France
Venice, CA / Bordeaux, FR, April 5, 2013 – Lightcraft Technology, a leader in the development of on-set virtual tracking equipment and visualization software and Immersion, European expert in innovative, immersive and collaborative 3D technologies, announced today they have signed an agreement for Immersion to sell the Lightcraft Previzion system in France.
Until now, filmmakers had to wait for post production to complete visual effects shots, or build expensive and complex custom solutions requiring teams of experts in order to see composited live action/CGI shots.
Lightcraft Technology designs and builds the Previzion® virtual studio system, which combines real time photo realistic 3D rendering, keying, lens tracking, compositing, meta-data recording, and camera tracking. Previzion’s camera tracking works with either the inertial/optical combination of Lightcraft’s Airtrack precision gyro and the Intersense IS1200, or with various encoded camera supports. Immersion designs and assembles the best of technologies, hardware and software components, within integrated turnkey solutions including motion capture and tracking systems. Moreover, Immersion is the major French partner of Intersense since 1998.
