Broadcasting your animations with Maya or MotionBuilder is a simple and quick process.

Hardware Required:

  • Previzion System
  • Stand-alone Computer
  • Connection to same network as Previzion
  • Prelink Dongle

Software Required:

  • Autodesk Maya 2011-2014
  • Autodesk MotionBuilder 2010-2014
  • Maya or MotionBuilder Prelink Plugins

Setup In Maya

  • Install Prelink
  • Turn Prelink Plug-in
  • Create Prelink Node
  • Add all joints to Prelink object set
  • Set FPS to camera speed

Setup In MotionBuilder

  • Install Prelink for MotionBuilder 2010-2013
  • Drop Prelink plug-in into Asset Browser
  • Move joints and transforms into Prelink model list
  • Set Export FPS to camera speed
  • Put IPV4 into Prelink Network Configuration
  • Click Online to broadcast

Broadcast Animation

  • Load FBX into Previzion
  • Find IPV4 Address for Previzion (Go to the System tab and click the About button)
  • Put IPV4 into Prelink interface
  • Verify Prelink is online with Previzion
  • Play animation
