Previzion Settings

The required tracking sources for Previzion are:

  • Sync Source
  • Lens

In addition, the correct sensor size must be used. Most existing sensor sizes are already in the list, but double check the size for the sensor to maintain accuracy in the calibration.

Marker File

Click Load to load the correct marker file. The current marker file is Markers303targets.cal.

Starting Calibration

To begin calibration, click the Calibrate button on the Lens Calibration panel, and choose either a new calibration, or adding onto an existing calibration.

The window display will change to the Calibration display showing green sliders for both the focal length (zoom) and focus distance axes. A dialog box comes up to choose the steps use for calibration in focal length and focus distance.

  • For focal length, enter 21 calibration steps. This will give 21 calibration points, equally spaced apart at 0.050 of the complete zoom lens travel.
  • For the first focus distance, first enter the distance in centimeters between the sensor back location on the camera and the center of the calibration target. In this example, it is 94 cm. Click Add after entering the focus distance.
  • For the remaining focus distances, enter 200, 300, 400, 500, and 800 cm into the Focus Distance line, clicking Add after each to place them into the table.
  • After all entries have been added, click Start to proceed.
