Camera Setup
Initial camera settings:
- Focus at minimum distance
- Maximum zoom
- Point camera at center of calibration target
- Camera height is roughly the same height as the center of the calibration target
- Move camera close enough to calibration target that center of calibration target is in focus
- Increase shutter to 1/125 second
- Increase F number to remove depth of field as much as possible
- Gain on camera should be low
- Add lights if needed to expose targets
- Measure distance from center of target to sensor position on camera. This is the minimum calibration distance.
Notes
- If target interferes at closest distance, back camera up slightly and refocus to clear moving target
