Camera Setup

Initial camera settings:

• Focus at minimum distance
• Maximum zoom
• Point camera at center of calibration target
• Camera height is roughly the same height as the center of the calibration target
• Move camera close enough to calibration target that center of calibration target is in focus
• Increase shutter to 1/125 second
• Increase F number to remove depth of field as much as possible
• Gain on camera should be low
• Add lights if needed to expose targets
• Measure distance from center of target to sensor position on camera. This is the minimum calibration distance.
