The Ideal Stage Presence –

Up, Up, and Out of the Way
The number one requirement for a production system is that it not slow down the production. The optical tracking markers mount to standard 1/2” Gatorboard or foam core, and are easily mounted to existing stage structures.
After the tracking markers are mounted, they are surveyed using a surveying device called a total station, which accurately measures the X, Y, and Z coordinates of the center of each target. This lets the targets be both rapidly installed, and accurately calibrated.
Survey Once
If the targets are fixed rigidly to the stage truss, they only need to be surveyed once during the stage preparation, a process that takes a couple of hours. After they have been surveyed, and the calibration file saved on the Previzion system, you can be up and shooting in the time it takes to turn the equipment on.
Lights, Camera . .
The high-contrast black and white tracking markers can easily be seen by the Intersense tracking camera when standard Spacelights are used – the reflected light from these is generally enough to provide a clean view. In cases where the overhead lights are out, it’s easy to aim a couple of diffused lights up toward the ceiling, without affecting the light on the talent. The targets are passive, and require no additional wiring.
