Photorealism Made Easy.

Source Images

Start out by shooting source images with a standard DSLR or digital camera. Overlap the images by 50% to enable automatic feature tracking.

Photosketch and Sketchup

Import the images into Photosketch, a photogrammetry tool that works inside Google’s Sketchup. Use Photosketch’s powerful image solving tools to automatically extract the location where each image was shot.

Use the automatically generated point cloud to locate simple geometry elements for scaling and reference.

Import and Project

Using Sketchup’s Collada export, the file can be transferred to Maya, preserving the locations of all of the solved camera positions.

Real Time Modeling Interaction

Lightcraft’s specialized projection modeling shaders run as real time CgFx shaders inside Maya. This give you real time modeling interaction, so you can slide polygons around and know exactly where they should be to line up accurately with the photograph.

Alpha channels are recognized in Targa files, so artists can decide where to transition from one image to another.

FBX Export

Previzion reads standard FBX files, so transferring content from Maya is as simple as a mouse click. Select the Embed Media option to embed shader and image information into the FBX file.

Of course, traditional 3D models can be created and imported in just the same way. Baking the light into texture maps placed into the Color channel provides a fast, flexible way to make scenes look amazing.
