Code Complete

Programmable, per-pixel shading is at the center of the real time graphics revolution. The look of modern real time graphics is being driven by shading languages that give unprecedented control over material lighting properties, but getting the shaders into real time engines is frequently a challenge.

With the 2009.3 release of FBX for Maya, CgFx shaders can be embedded into FBX files and opened inside Previzion. Shaders will automatically execute on the geometry that they were attached to, making it easy to experiment with different artistic looks.

Modern GPU Support

Previzion uses nVidia’s QuadroFX technology for 3D rendering, and thus supports the latest vertex and pixel shaders. In addition, Previzion can provide data on how heavily the pixel and vertex shaders on the GPU are being used, giving valuable feedback needed to optimize shader execution performance.

Directed Lighting

Spotlights created in Maya can be brought into Previzion. Individual lights can be selected and redirected, with the effects immediately visible.
