Emotion in Motion
One of the great benefits of virtual production is being able to test creative ideas without 100 people waiting for you. Previzion’s sophisticated motion tracking integration allows you to easily dial in the amount of motion scaling you want, so that moving the camera a couple of feet in your office can simulate a large crane, dolly, or helicopter move.
Click the above image to see a test move done at 15:1 scaling on a 3D model of a real world structure. The actual movement of the sensors was about 3 feet, but the scaling lets one simulate a huge reveal shot.
This lets you test how every shot in a movie would cut together, and since the 3D models are dimensionally accurate, the creative decisions (jib arm? dolly? Steadicam?) translate correctly into the real world shoot.
Accurate Data
Since the move is scaled, and not the model, you can capture and record data takes just like an actual shoot. Send 3D paths to the animation department to kick-start the detailing process before the physical shoot even begins, and spend precious modeling time only on those areas that will be on the screen.
